Update: FTP Payouts Outsourced by US Government?
End August due date for applications of companies ready to deal with the payout organization
It has been reported this week that the US Department of Justice has called on qualified companies to come forward and organize the payouts of owed FTP players ndash; a service for which theyll be paid.
The DoJ issued an employment notice on its website, for an independent Claims Administrator who will deal with the process of Full Tilt Poker payment to players.
In the notice, the body states that with some 1.3 million quot;potential US victimsquot;, the project involves the payout of remaining account balances in the amount of $159 million. It also requires the applicants to possess adequate qualifications, and to provide information on proposed fees, along with details of any previous relationships that could influence independence in processing remission payments.
Further on, the employment invitation reads: ldquo;The successful applicant will work with the DoJ’s Southern District of New York and the Asset Forfeiture and Money Laundering Sectionhellip; to design and execute a process to solicit, receive and evaluate claims, and to process payments, for losses incurred by U.S. victims that are attributable to the fraud alleged. In so doing the Claims Administrator will obtain and evaluate information, such as financial transaction records, from claimants, and analyze information contained in user account records provided in database and other format by Full Tilt Poker.rdquo;
