Completion of the World Series of Poker event 47 – $1,500 buy-in Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Lo Thursday saw the Atlanta attorney Steven Loube seize his first WSOP bracelet and first prize amount of $267,345.
The 34-year-old personal injury attorney had for the first time entered any WSOP Event to make a notable triumph against the number of experienced players who registered for the event that gathered 978 contestants in total.
Admittedly, Loube had been rather nervous about taking part in the competition and had difficulties sleeping over the three Event days, yet his result proves that his insomnia did not prevent him eliminate many professionals and eventually lead the field.
The final table demanded Loube to play smart and end up three-handed against Timothy Finne and Roch Cousineau, moving the action faster and reaching heads-up in just an hour.
Cousineau left the game with the third prize to enable heads up between Loube and Timothy Finne. The lawyer entered with a 3 to 1 advantage, confidently playing to win the game without prolonged moves .
